Love the board game. Hate the app.

Im a huge fan of Ra. It has long been one of my favourite games. I was excited to try the iOS implementation. Unfortunately, its a huge let down.

The cardboard version is quite pretty, but this digital version is just ugly. Although the game functions like it should mechanically speaking, it plays far too slowly with a lot of unnecessary animations that can not be turned off. It is a royal pain to determine what your opponents have been collecting, and the scoring at the end of each epoch is sorely missing a sum total for each player (how did they miss this?).

I would not recommend anyone purchase this app.
